Treatment with Dr. Sanders
My goal as a psychologist is to work with you to help you better understand yourself and your story, and to help you manage your mental health.
Through assessment, I help you to identify areas of strength and weakness, and put a name to symptoms you might not fully understand. I believe when we begin to truly understand ourselves and finally name our symptoms and diagnoses, we are better able to reclaim our story and work towards growth and healing. Through every assessment, my ultimate goal is for you to feel safe, honored, and seen for who you truly are.

In therapy, my goal is quite similar. I strive to help you better understand who you are, and then work with you to learn ways to better manage your mental health. I utilize a number of different approaches in treatment, but favor cognitive behavioral (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) methods when working with clients. However, each individual is unique, and I take that into account in treatment. My ultimate goal is to provide a safe place for you to work on your personal goals.
